I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science & International Studies at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.

My research examines how organized economic interests and mass publics shape economic policy, and how citizens hold governments accountable for the outcomes. My work is forthcoming or has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, and World Development, among others.

I completed my Ph.D. in Political Science at Columbia University, where I also received an M.A. in International Affairs from the School of International & Public Affairs (2012). Before graduate school, I worked for over two years as a legislative staff member in the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. I hold a B.A. in Political Science and French from Yonsei University. I currently serve as a policy advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
